Julia and Neil… the New Mr. and Mrs. Assennato
We are from Staten Island, New York.
Neil and I met from St. Johns.. he was in a fraternity and I was in a sorority we found out we were basically neighbors.. we became friends and over time we just fell in love! (hahaha corny I know )
Neil proposed down in Wildwood, New Jersey where my family has been spending summers for 30 years.. and he has shared 9 years with us .. he did it at this cute little spot on the water just me and him. It was special because we were alone and it was intimate and then we went back to the shore house where all of our family and friends surprised me.
I chose Charley because I had seen a few weddings he had done for friends of mine and loved his work. We met with Charley and loved his energy and we instantly clicked with him. Charley and his team were great. We had so much fun and didn’t feel stressed out taking pictures all day with him and really enjoyed ourselves. He got the pictures back to me so fast and I truly love them all!
The day of the wedding itself was honestly one of the best days of my life. it’s so hard to pinpoint a special moment but my aunt and uncle sang the song “The Prayer” at why church and their voices left every person in the church so emotional and moved Neil and myself included. It made my ceremony so special and different from anyone else… Also walking into the reception at the Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury with my new husband ready to dance the night away. The energy in the room was amazing and so full of happiness and so much love!
